About Me

Kevin Krust is an American film maker, technology entrepreneur, and social media director. He is the founder and president of the multimedia production and distribution company, DEAD MEDIA Entertainment. Born and raised in the greater Chicagoland area, Krust took an interest in film making and creative technologies at an early age. In 2003, he completed his first feature film and sought to self-distribute the film the following year. Frustrated by the limitations of early video hosting platforms, he created his own and published the film online in 2005.

In 2006, Krust would move his focus to the up and coming video hosting website, YouTube, where he began to experiment with standalone and episodic video formats. Audiences and creators quickly took to Krust’s content, citing his high quality standard, speed of production, and ability to quickly adapt to feedback. Viral content created and published by Krust totalled over 10 million views by 2011.

As the demand for online content continued to increase, Krust saw a need for specialists focused on creative professionals who distribute their work via the internet. He began work as a creative director and distribution specialist for various pop culture creators and brands in the online content and gaming space. Krust has played a notable role in various online communities including Nerdcore Music, Pokémon, Anime & More.

In 2020, Krust was hired by long-time collaborator Cam Steady to help transition his brand away from its former focus, Video Game Rap Battles. Krust would remain a key collaborator for Steady, working as the lead editor and production coordinator for his Nerdcore Rap Cyphers series and major brand collaborations like Google Play Genshin Impact and the 2025 Pokémon World Championships.

Songs and videos Kevin has worked on have accumulated over 550 million views and 80 million downloads / streams.
